The conference began with a meeting of the parents who had brought their students, along with all the students who had arrived by then, plus the Probe and Ozark staff. We welcomed students from Minnesota, Arizona, North Carolina, Alabama, Indiana, Illinois, Texas, and Arkansas. Four students were still en route from Florida, where they had decided on Friday to come, and got in the car to drive straight through!

Perennial favorite Probe professor Todd Kappelman enjoys looking through alumna Grace Waldrop's pictures from Mind Games 2007. Her sister Sarah looks on, joined by fellow alum (from 2001!) Tim Jackson, who came with Todd for several days after finishing up his master's while living at Veritas House with Todd and his wife Deanna. Students who come to Mind Games often go on to great things afterwards!

Alex Roell, Tynan Barlow and Ryan Russenberger get seconds at our first meal. We were joined this week by a church camp. For the first time in Mind Games' 15-year history, we shared the dining room. It was noisy. And we had camp food instead of gourmet food until the campers left on Thursday.

Ray Bohlin, becoming a hostile atheistic professor in the introductory session, grills Sarah Waldrop on why she's a Christian.

The professor puts Jonathan Lindstrom, Tom Schultz, and Nate Peterson on the hot seat.

Later in the week, when these three friends from Minnesota kidded some of the Arkansas girls, calling them "Arkansassies," they were dubbed "the Minnesatians." And it stuck.

Daniel Zeiger, one of our two alumni this year, tries to go toe-to-toe on why he's a Christian. Daniel was glad to come back for another year of worldview and apologetics training.
